Sierra Leone as a country has come a long way. Its history has been a mixture of successes and tribulations. The enduring strength of its people has ensured its survival in the worst of experiences. The love for country has always pulled its people back together even when the worst of atrocities have been inflicted upon them. Sierra Leone can never be brought to its knees even when faced with challenges unseen in history.
From a brutal civil war that saw one of its own waging a terror campaign against his own people to moments where bombs are thrown on civilians on the ground from orders of its own President, the people’s faith have never wavered. Sierra Leoneans can only sit back now and look forward to the amazing work of the Almighty God as he begins to turn around the fortunes of its people and bring glory back to a country that has always been blessed.
This portal brings into life the hopes and aspirations of a people who deserve the commitment, dedication and sincerity of its leaders in providing their basic social and economic needs. It is an ardent reminder to the leadership of our country that the direction of our country can only be defined by the political, social and economic decision that they take and that they should not forget that even if they are not accountable to the people, the Almighty God will bring them to account.
The richness of our culture and tradition remains the single most important factor that binds us together as a people. Our historical past, so well documented, will be an inspiration for our future generations. We must all endeavour to make a positive contribution towards our national development.
