Sierra Leone dropped to 73rd place in FIFA ranking

According to the just released FIFA ranking, Sierra Leone has dropped down nine places in the world standing and six places in Africa. Sierra Leone is currently in 73rd position.

Many soccer pundits ascribe this downward trend to the humiliation suffered at the hands of the lowly rated Sao Tome & Principe in February during qualifying match for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. This is the second time Leone Stars has gone down in the FIFA rankings since April last year.
