Ahmed Janka Nabay & the Bubu Gang Comes out swinging

Ahmed Janka Nabay, one of the most gifted artists of highlife blended with a fast pace samba beats is swinging hard and is set to release an EP called An Leta on March 20th with one to be followed shortly after that in June, titled Luaka Bop.

It will be recalled that Janka Nabay of the “Dance to the bubu” fame, has a style of an up-tempo, synth-driven sound, which has come to be a cultural expression of Sierra Leone. Currently, he is working with a New York group called the Bubu Gang.
