Sierra Leone Gets a New Energy Minister

25th January 2012   ·   0 Comments

Prof. Ogunlade Davidson

Sierra Leone’s Energy Minister, Prof. Ogunlade Davidson, has been relieved off his duty by President Ernest Koroma following what many surmised as his failure to put up a stellar performance in his department. As at this point, no reason was publicly given as to why the learned professor was shown the exit door.

The new minister of energy is Oluniyi Robbin-Coker, a private sector banker, who until his appointment was the president’s private sector policy adviser. Mr. Robbin-Coker remains to be approved by parliament.
