Appointing women to offices of national importance has been the mantra of President Ernest Koroma and his government. Since his inception into office, women have made significant gains in the public eye through high profile appointments along side several other things. The intensive search for women to be an integral part of the Human Right Commission is another step in that direction.
The Office of the Solicitor-General acting on the directive of President Ernest Koroma is currently requesting nominees from the public to man the Human Rights Commission.
According to the Government Release, there should be at least two women commissioners in the country’s Fight for the respect of Human Rights of all citizens and residents. The deadline for submission of all names is tomorrow January 25th 2012 and they should be sent to the Solicitor-General Martina Kroma Esq. who is herself a beneficiary of the Koroma regime’s empowerment of women
